A Message from our Pastor, Fr. Bobby
And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady into heaven. We ask her to lead us with her into her Son’s presence for eternity. On earth we must follow her example, proclaiming God’s greatness, living a life of charity, and following Jesus to the cross and resurrection. Mother of God, you are our Mother: pray for us and guide us, your children in Christ!
I ask everyone this coming week to pray in a special way for God’s guidance as we respond to the protests against St. Junípero Serra. Again, I ask everyone to pray to Our Lady of Refuge and St. Junipero for guidance. We will have a special rosary each day for this intention. Please see the website, parish Facebook page or call the office for details. May the Lord bless us always! Fr. Bobby

"Keep your eyes fixed on the outstretched arms of Christ crucified, let yourself be saved over and over again." Pope Francis
"Jesus keeps knocking on our doors, the doors of our lives. He doesn't do this by magic, with special effects, with flashing lights and fireworks. Jesus keeps knocking on our door in the faces of our brothers and sisters, in the faces of our neighbors, in the faces of those at our side." Pope Francis
@ArchbishopGomez: Friends, we need to practice the corporal and spiritual works of mercy - seeking contact with our Lord through serving others.
