Applications are now available for Circle V Ranch Summer Camp for children ages 7-13. Circle V is owned and operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Los Angeles. This summer, Circle V is celebrating 70 years of summer excellence. Circle V is located near Lake Cachuma just off of Highway 154.
The primary goal of the Circle V Ranch summer camp program is to develop a strong spiritual, physical, mental, and social character in participating youth through a variety of activities and encounters with positive role models. Circle V Ranch Camp provides innovative and enriching outdoor experiences that build self-esteem, expand knowledge and appreciation of others, nature and God. Programs revolve around the ranch brand, the Circle V (for St. Vincent), which stresses the importance of respecting and getting along with others at all times. Specifically, the circle reminds everyone to love God and the V to love our neighbors as ourselves.
During the summer, children ages seven through 13 enjoy a traditional “sleepover” camp during seven sessions, each six days/five nights. Each session is filled with activities including hiking, swimming, nature walks, beach day, archery, arts and crafts, painting, photography, baseball, basketball, ping pong, foosball, soccer, miniature golf, campfires, skits & songs. Children and their counselors stay in air-conditioned cabins or canvas tents. Three nutritious daily meals are served family-style in the Dining Lodge. All children are fully supervised by caring, trained counselors and long-time staff. Opportunities for Campers in Leadership Training (CILT) are offered for teens ages 14-17.
No child is turned away for lack of funds for the camp fee. Financial aid is available for families who qualify.
