Old Mission Santa Inés parishioners are blessed to serve as local volunteers for the Atterdag At Home Meals On Wheels program that services three local routes from the kitchen at Atterdag Village in Solvang. On our assigned day, our volunteers deliver a noon meal to homebound adults as part of the Solvang Meals On Wheels program. Many other groups in the Santa Ynez Valley participate in the Solvang program in the delivery of meals. Each group delivers on the designated day(s) of the month.
Meals On Wheels is a national network of more than 5,000 Senior Nutrition Programs that operate in all 50 states and U.S. territories. These programs are supported by a dedicated army of 2 million volunteers who deliver a nutritious meal, a warm smile and a safety check that helps keep 2.5 million seniors and homebound adults healthy, safe and living independently in their own homes each year.
